Wise words from an experienced hoodoo worker

Your First Time?

A spell is not some dangerous radioactive material that must be handled with special protocols OR IT WILL EXPLODE IN YOUR FACE!!!!

A spell is not some sort of scary half-tamed wild animal that must be made to do its circus act the same way every time OR IT WILL BITE YOUR FINGERS OFF!!!!

A spell is not some sort of blueprint for building a suspension bridge over a ravine that must be assembled exactly according to plans OR IT WILL FALL DOWN AND KILL PEOPLE.

A spell is a call to the world of spirit, to the other world, to the world of the extraordinary. To bring desired results from that world into this, you must be open to spirit, open to the other, open to the extraordinary.

If you perform a spell and things do not happen exactly the way you want them to, it is not because spell work is a dangerous, protocol-driven, scary, precisely planned event that God does not want you to have and will punish you for if you mess up because you don't have five dollars to buy the "right" product by springing some horrible "surprise" on you.

If you mess up a spell – for whatever reason – you clean up the mess and try again, like when you drop an egg on the kitchen floor while making breakfast. Dropping the egg was an unwelcome surprise, but it was not the result of buying the wrong kinds of eggs. Still, good fresh eggs make better breakfasts than bad stale eggs, so good eggs are important to have.

But they don't assemble themselves into breakfasts – you have to do the work – and there are one thousand ways to cook an egg, and all of them satisfy. Now [a student of mine] asked about road opening spells, and i am here to tell you that the FIRST road opening that you need – you personally – is to open the road to acceptance of the magical and spiritual world as an extension of the mundane world.

The magical and spiritual world is another room in God's house. There are no bug-eyed monsters in there waiting to surprise you if you choose the wrong tools or say the wrong words or think the wrong thoughts.

What IS in that room is a series of metaphorical potential shortcuts between one mind and another, one spirit and another, one time and another, one thing and another. The shortcuts are such things as precognitive dreams, second sight, prayers, petitions, and spells – you work the thing in miniature, using spirit allies (herbs, minerals, animals, humans, ancestors, saints, deities) and materials that have physically been part of what you want or that symbolize what you want. You do this work in the spirit, and, as if following a shortcut, you find yourself there in the material world. That's all there is to it. There is no single product or formula that will take you to that other room. There is no single product or formula that can ruin your experience there – or in the mundane world. The road you need opened is the road of comfortable confidence in spiritual reality. That first – products second.
